as "Coach" Cadbury
Although Cadbury is happy to engage in the sport of baseball with Richie (whether it be as coach, umpire, catcher, whatever), being British he doesn't quite seem to grasp the terminology and nuances of the game. He still manages to enjoy himself though.Note: While I can understand the angle of playing up an Englishman's supposed ignorance of baseball, it didn't seem appropriate to me for Cadbury to appear so unsaavy, especially considering that the film makes it clear he had an instrumental role in raising Richie, whose childhood included lots and lots of baseball. Cadbury would have surely become an expert in very short order under those circumstances.
