Stargate SG-1, Episode 1.17, Enigma. The SGC meets NID Colonel Harry Maybourne (and the Tollans) for the first time when he arrives to take possession of alien refugees whom SG-1 rescued from some nasty volcanic activity on their dying home world. The Tollans possess highly advanced technology which the NID really, really wants. Maybourne is never again portrayed quite as bloodthirsty as he was in this episode. Whew.
