Into Thin Air (1985).  Portrays an unnamed bank manager whose sympathy for the family members of a missing teen is insufficient to get him to break bank policy.  Result: Unsatisfactory for all.

True story of a Canadian teen who is murdered while on a road trip.  His murderer is brought to justice only through the relentless efforts of his family.  Very sad.
